I understand that frustration because I’ve lived it. And that experience is exactly what inspired me to create Creative Profit Solutions, a place where clarity replaces chaos and your creativity finally becomes profitable.

Running a creative business is tough. You pour in your time, creativity, and passion—yet somehow, the numbers still don’t add up. I know that feeling all too well.

Quick background: I was an ex–Big Four accountant who left an absolutely fabulous job to go to fashion school. Bold, I know, I’ve heard it many times.

But after my seamstress ruined yet another outfit, I’d had enough. I decided to learn fashion so I could teach her how to get it right. And that was the unexpected beginning of my journey into the fashion industry.

When I launched my fashion business, I assumed my accounting background plus formal fashion training meant I was set up for success. But wow… was I so wrong. 😮‍💨

Passion wasn’t paying the bills. I worked ridiculous hours, juggled everything myself, and still couldn’t cover my costs — let alone pay myself a salary. Month after month, the only goal was to scrape together enough to pay bills and salaries. The end of the month became a constant source of anxiety.

Being stuck in day-to-day operations meant I never had the breathing room to understand why all my hard work wasn’t turning into real income. And honestly, that was a low point.

I felt undervalued, overworked, and completely stuck.

When I finally broke down from exhaustion and was put on mandatory bed rest for a week, I knew something had to change.

So I shut down my business for three months, went back to the drawing board, took business courses, joined coaching programs, and put my numbers hat back on. And then it hit me!

I finally figured out the problem, and I couldn’t believe I had missed something so fundamental.

From that moment, I committed to building structure into my business and focusing on the financial side, which I had been too overwhelmed to prioritize. That moment became the beginning of my shift from creative struggle to profit, and everything started to change from there.

I revisited my pricing, uncovered the profit leaks, and completely reworked how I managed my operations. Slowly, everything started to make sense.

It wasn’t an overnight fix, but piece by piece, things turned around. I learned how to price for profit, manage my cash flow, and build a business that worked for me rather than consuming me.

Before long, my business began to grow. I expanded, hired more people, and eventually reached a point I once thought was impossible: I took a month-long trip, and the business ran seamlessly without me. That was my moment of arrival.

And I’ll never forget the joy of paying myself my very first salary. It felt incredible.

As my business grew, I became increasingly vocal about my journey. Over time, I became known in both my circle and my social media followers as the go-to person for the business side of fashion.

Soon, creatives within and outside the fashion industry began reaching out for help. They wanted the same structure, clarity, and pricing systems I had built in my own business. That demand eventually sparked my Business Mastery courses and coaching programs.

And after working with countless clients, I noticed the same challenges appearing again and again:

1. They were talented but still struggling financially. Exactly where I once was. 

2. Most of the issues I identified had to do with improper pricing. Their pricing was guesswork. No framework, no strategy, just vibes and conscience. And it makes sense since pricing is one of the biggest factors in business success, as this Entrepreneur article explains.

3. Their expenses were out of control. Many costs could be delayed or eliminated because they weren’t adding value or generating revenue.

4. They didn’t know their numbers. No tracking, no visibility, and no idea how much they were actually making or losing.

Because I had overcome these exact issues myself, I could spot them immediately. Guiding clients from creative struggle to profit became a natural extension of the work I was already doing.

I restructured entire operations, redesigned pricing systems, and helped clients implement the same profit-focused frameworks that had transformed my business. And the results were consistent across industries.

Over time, I found myself working almost exclusively with creative makers and service providers on their pricing and profit strategy.
